Hey so I'm probably returning the morimoto kit as I do not want to use a component that may or may not blow up on me. Can you send me the link of the exact kit you bought. Also do u actually have to plug in the fuse holder that is connected to the relAy? And is there an install diagram you used to install this?

ok cool thats the one i bought off of amazon but I bought the one with the anti-flicker relay harness. What color bulbs did you get? I wanted a similar oem look so I went with with 5000k.

Hey one more question, how did u get the wire that plugs into the factory wiring tor the car through the rubber grommet? Mine came not filtered through and isk how I would get these through the dust cover without it not completely sealing up? These are from the opt7 kit

Those wires are extension wires. You usually won't use them, however I needed one to extend the wire to the driver side. Those extra hole on the rubber grommet are for halos if you choose to do that later on.

You also have to drill a hole in the dust cover to set that rubber grommet correctly.

So which plug goes into the factory plug then? how are these things going to work without it being hooked up in one place to the factory wiring?

Shit your right I'm sorry. I was thinking about my charger lol. So, you will need to run the factory wire through the grommet. Plug the factory wire into the extension wire, then Using a very small eyeglasses flat head screw driver from the bottom of the ballast side slip the screwdriver in and slowly pull the wires out. Feed those through the rubber grommet and then connect the wires back into the clip you will here a click when there secure. Just make sure you don't switch up the wires.

I ended up using my old morimoto kit after all except I didn't use resistors as like you said they can be unsafe. I am using only one capacitor and the hd relay. I'm as happy as can be and the 55w ballasts make the 5000k bright as can be lol thanks for the help

Those are sick man! Mine are a little different but that's only because I'm using the 55w ballast instead of a 35w. To get that blue tint I would need to use 6500k or more bulbs. However, my ballasts r kinda loud like u can hear them when the lights are on and the car is off. Not enough to make me worry but something I thought was odd

You need the opt7 capacitors they connect in between the ballast and the bulb

So now I have a new issue. I installed another morimoto kit for my fog lights and when I turn the car on, only one side turns on. Everything is wired correctly. I don't understand. I even got the side they wouldn't to turn on to light up by turning the fog light switch on and off but this is annoying. Has anyone else run into this issue when installing fog light hid kits ?

Hey, so I apologize for bringing up such an old thread but I've been looking everywhere without much luck. I have a 2015 limited with halogens and bought the 2015+ morimoto elite kit. I'm just curious where people are mounting the resistors for the lights. I looked and can't find a good spot and can't find any answers online. Also I saw in this thread some people mentioned not using the resistors. Can I install this kit with out them? Sorry for all the questions on such an old thread but hopefully someone can help me.
